Yes, we are a creative bunch and we love nothing more than brainstorming headline grabbing ideas for clients. We make sure our ideas are aligned to your business goals so they will drive the outcomes you seek.
We are an e-commerce specialist PR agency. This means we are 100% focused on delivering online media coverage and high authority backlinks for e-commerce clients across many sectors. We bring this laser-sharp online focus to every project. We are all about results and measurement. We don't do "fluffy" PR.
A Motive campaign will supercharge your website, earning huge numbers of online brand mentions and powerful SEO backlinks from some of the most respected news sites on the web. We can help you win awards, make videos, stage events, run social media campaigns or launch new websites. Whatever it takes to help you grow we can put it into your MAP (Motive Action Plan).
There are six key benefits from a Motive campaign: increased brand awareness through lots of media coverage, SEO boosting backlinks, increased credibility via an enhanced reputation and a well-stocked press page, improved conversion rates, more traffic, and ultimately, more sales.
This stands for the client’s Motive Action Plan. It’s a document we agree at the start of every project which sets the direction for the campaign and contains agreed KPIs and goals.
No, we never, ever buy links. All the backlinks we deliver for clients are earned links. We win them through high editorial standards and news sense. Earned links are the kind most loved by Google, which also happens to hate nasty paid-for links.
Yes we are a specialist e-commerce digital PR agency working with a wide mix of online brands from many different sectors of business including food and drink, fashion, fitness, health, transport, travel and gardening. Whatever you sell online we can help you to reach more customers and grow your business.
Motive founder Steve McComish registered his first PR agency on 26 June 2008, following a career as a news journalist with one of the UK’s highest selling national daily newspapers. After a full rebrand we relaunched as Motive in January 2020 with a new focus on digital PR and content marketing.
Yes, of course. We offer a free initial consultation where we meet and discuss your needs and from there we can start to put together your Motive Action Plan to deliver success.
No, not if you don’t want to. Once we have agreed the Motive Action Plan you can pretty much leave us to get on with it for you. We’ll be in regular contact but we are here to make your life easier, not more difficult.
This varies from client to client and campaign to campaign. We will agree goals with you at the planning stage and are happy to work to any KPIs you suggest.
There isn’t one. We are just very good at what we do.
The exact level of investment will depend on the goals we agree at the planning stage and on how much of our time it’s going to take to reach them, so every campaign is different. But our rates are very reasonable within our industry.
We don’t tie clients in to lengthy contracts but we do recommend you take a long term view to get the most out of PR.
Motive began trading in 2020 but we brought several clients with us from our previous agency. That means five clients have been with us for more than seven years while two have been us for more than nine years. Not every client needs long term help though and some do come in for short projects only.
Definitely! Speaking to one of our clients is a great way to find out more about working with us. We can share contact details on request.
Yes, this is something we do for many of our clients and we have an excellent track record of helping clients win both national and regional awards across many different business sectors.
Yes we do. It’s something we will look at when we put together your Motive Action Plan.
Yep, we can do that too.
We don’t currently offer these services but we work closely with partner agencies who can help you with this.
Yes, we’ve got that covered.
Great, let’s have a chat about your needs.
