Background:
We worked with money saving website NetVoucherCodes.co.uk for several years, helping them grow through ongoing digital PR and link-building. As a well-established platform offering discount codes and deals for hundreds of UK retailers, their goal was to stay front of mind with savvy shoppers while building long-term search visibility.
It's a crowded market but NetVoucherCodes’ aim was to be the biggest, best and most popular voucher code site in the UK, so we were tasked with increasing the volume of traffic to the website, improving their SEO performance and rankings, and increasing brand awareness through digital PR and backlink acquisition.
For this case study, we picked out a standout 12-month period where our campaign focused on boosting their visibility, authority, and brand presence.
Strategy:
Our aim was to position NetVoucherCodes as go-to experts on all things shopping, saving, and personal finance - real consumer champions.
With such a popular site, the audience is really broad, so we focused our efforts on money-conscious shoppers of all ages, especially those reading mainstream news and lifestyle sites.
To grab their attention (and secure quality, relevant backlinks), we used a mix of tactics that worked brilliantly together:
- Data-led content that highlighted trends and spending habits
- Listicle-style stories with practical, relatable tips
- Reactive pitching and newsjacking to jump on breaking stories and seasonal moments
This multi-pronged approach kept the campaign fresh, newsworthy, and consistently on-brand.
Results:
Over the 12-month period, our campaign delivered consistently strong results - both in volume and quality. We secured a total of 2,372 items of media coverage, averaging 198 placements a month, and built 1,820 backlinks from a wide range of domains, with a 77% link-to-coverage rate.

Coverage regularly came in from national, regional, and lifestyle titles, which helped us reach the broad and deal-savvy audience NetVoucherCodes targets. Highlights included backlinks from high-authority sites like: The Guardian, Daily Mirror, The Sun, MSN.com, My London, House Beautiful, Real Homes, Homes & Gardens.
Not only did this coverage boost brand visibility, but it also drove real SEO value. Over the course of the year, NetVoucherCodes saw a 130% increase in organic traffic, supported by the diversity and authority of the referring domains we earned links from.
